Job Description

Helps2 is a growing marketing agency in Kansas City supporting educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and community-focused brands through strategic marketing, storytelling, and social media management. We’re looking for a creative, video-first Content Creator & Social Media Strategist who can help bring client brands to life through engaging social media content, short-form video, and authentic storytelling. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating modern social content, capturing footage on-site occasionally, editing reels/videos, and helping brands connect meaningfully with their audiences online.

Responsibilities

• Visit client locations occasionally in the Kansas City area to capture photo and video content
• Create and edit short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts, etc.)
• Design engaging social media graphics and visual content
• Write captions aligned with brand voice and audience
• Assist with content planning and scheduling
• Collaborate with our internal team on revisions, approvals, and strategy
• Maintain strong attention to detail and consistent brand quality
• Adapt content for education, nonprofit, healthcare, and community-focused audiences

Requirements

• Strong short-form video editing skills
• Experience capturing and creating engaging social-first content
• Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and modern social trends
• Creative eye for storytelling, composition, and audience engagement
• Canva skills required (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar editing tools are a plus)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a team

Bonus Qualifications

• Photography experience
• Graphic design experience
• Experience managing social media accounts for brands or organizations
• Experience with SocialPilot or similar scheduling tools
• Experience working with nonprofit, education, healthcare, or community-based organizations
