Job Description

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead a critical migration from a monolithic database to multiple domain-specific data stores within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The engineer will design and implement data operations, including backfills, data mapping, and Change Data Capture using GCP Datastream and Dataflow, working primarily in Kotlin or Java. The focus of this role is on demonstrated expertise in large-scale data migration rather than specific language fluency.

Requirements

MUST HAVES:

• 6+ years of professional experience, ideally at a Senior or Lead level.
• Demonstrated deep expertise in data migration.
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data services, especially Datastream and Dataflow.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language, such as Kotlin, Java, Python, Node.js, or Golang.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES:

• Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help optimize data workflows.
