We are looking for an illustrator skilled in dog anatomy and line drawings to create 20-30 clear, characterful illustrations for a handbook aimed at everyday dog owners. The book is based on science-backed, practical tips and insights about living with dogs, focusing on daily rhythms, body language, enrichment ideas, and reference charts. The illustrations should effectively convey personality and support the positive, fear-free, and reinforcement-based philosophy at the heart of the content. The work will be done fully remotely for The Dog Behaviour Academy, a company led by a certified, experienced dog trainer based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Who are you, and what do you do?
I’m a certified, experienced dog trainer based in Auckland,NZ. The book is based on my own newsletters, which I’ve been sending to my subscriber base since June 2024. My approach and philosophy is to understand the sentient individual in front of me and help them live their best lives with their guardians. I use positive reinforcement and fear-free methods.
