Job Description

This is a remote position for a Power BI Developer based in India, aligned with U.S. Pacific Time. The role requires the candidate to design, build, and manage scalable reporting solutions, developing dashboards and reports by integrating data from multiple systems using APIs, SQL, and cloud data sources. The ideal candidate will ensure data accuracy, optimize performance, and provide actionable insights for the U.S.-based leadership. Candidates must work primarily within Pacific Time business hours, communicate clearly in English, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced staffing environment. A strong experience in data modeling, DAX, and automation is essential, alongside a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.

Requirements

Required qualifications include:

• 3–5 years of experience in a Power BI development role.
• Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M language).
• Experience designing star and snowflake schema data models.

Responsibilities

• Design and build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for internal stakeholders and client-facing delivery.
• Develop and optimize complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and data models to support workforce and placement analytics.
• Build and maintain Power BI dataflows and datasets, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and refresh reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers to connect Power BI to data sources, including SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, and Excel.
• Translate business requirements from recruiters, account managers, and operations teams into clear, actionable visualizations.
• Conduct peer reviews of junior developer work and provide mentorship and guidance.
• Document report logic, data lineage, and model design for knowledge sharing.
• Monitor report performance and proactively identify opportunities to optimize queries and visuals.
• Support deployment of reports across Power BI workspaces and manage row-level security (RLS) configurations.
• Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies as part of a broader analytics team.

Additional Information

Shift time for this role will begin at 8:30 PM. Candidates should be comfortable working within the specified Pacific Time business hours to ensure effective collaboration.
