Job Description

This is a remote position.

CSols Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior STARLIMS Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, customization, and maintenance of STARLIMS v11 and higher across various verticals, including Life Sciences, Quality Manufacturing, and Public Health. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to the success of STARLIMS implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and customize CSols client STARLIMS v11+ systems to meet business and laboratory requirements.
• Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and client end-users to understand system requirements and implement optimal solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other CSols consultants and client team members.
• Design and optimize STARLIMS workflows, reports, and dashboards, including developing custom scripts, APIs, and integrations with other applications.
• Participate in data migration and validation efforts during upgrades and implementations.
• Utilize ticketing systems like JIRA to track progress, issues, and enhancements while maintaining relevant technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations by implementing secure and compliant solutions.

Their ability to collaborate effectively with various teams will be essential for successful implementations, along with a solid understanding of regulatory compliance and agile methodologies.

Required Experience

• Extensive experience with STARLIMS Scripting Language, HTML5, JavaScript, and related programming languages for customization and enhancements.
• In-depth knowledge of STARLIMS Environmental Monitoring functionality.
• Expertise in integrating STARLIMS with external systems using web services (REST/SOAP), APIs, and middleware.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle databases, including performance tuning and data migration strategies.
• Experience with STARLIMS security roles and permissions for regulatory compliance.
• Ability to troubleshoot STARLIMS Application Server and IIS-based deployments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in STARLIMS development.
• Strong expertise in STARLIMS v11+ across various verticals.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, .NET, SQL, and web services for developing STARLIMS extensions.
• Experience in designing STARLIMS Advanced Analytics, ELN, and SDMS, as well as familiarity with wireframing tools.
• Experience in regulated environments, adhering to compliance guidelines.
• Proficiency in ticketing systems like JIRA and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with STARLIMS upgrades, migrations, and cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with LIMS platforms like LabWare, LabVantage, or SampleManager.
• Understanding of best practices in laboratory informatics and software development.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
