Job Description

Rago/Wright is looking for a knowledgeable comics and pop culture enthusiast to join our photo studio as a Photo Studio Automated Imaging Technician on a freelance basis. You’ll work alongside our team to capture high-quality images of collectibles — comics, trading cards, original art, and related items — destined for auction listings with our Landry Pop Auctions (LPA) brand. This is an on-site role in Lambertville, NJ, and all studio equipment is provided.

Requirements

What you’ll do:

• Operate an automated 35mm capture system to photograph graded comics and trading cards
• Monitor output quality and make basic adjustments within the automated workflow to ensure consistent, accurate results
• Manage and organize image files for auction listings — accurate naming, sorting, and delivery
• Help identify and handle items correctly, leveraging your knowledge of the hobby to reduce errors and improve throughput

What you bring:

• Deep familiarity with comics, cards, and pop culture collectibles
• Familiarity with 35mm camera systems — understanding how they capture is sufficient
• Solid image file management skills (folders, naming conventions, basic editing)
• Reliability, attention to detail, and care when handling valuable items
• Flexibility to work varying days on a business-day schedule

Nice to have:

• Experience with CGC, PSA, or similar grading systems
• Background in auction, retail, or collectibles industry
• Familiarity with Adobe Bridge, Lightroom, or similar DAM tools
• Own collection — you have firsthand knowledge of the material

Additional Information

Pay & Benefits:

• Flat-Rate Pay: This is a 1099 position where you are paid a set flat rate of up to $250/day depending on your skillset, experience, and qualifications
