Job Description

This is a remote position for a Senior QA Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience. The role is a contract position with an immediate start. The candidate will lead quality assurance efforts by designing and executing test strategies, mentoring junior QA staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. A strong grasp of QA methodologies, automation tools, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC) is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive manual and/or automated testing strategies.

• Design, write, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

• Identify, track, and report software defects and inconsistencies.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality.

• Conduct root cause analysis and provide proactive solutions for defects.

• Lead post-release and regression testing efforts.

• Review UI/UX for consistency and functionality.

• Mentor junior QA engineers and lead QA initiatives across teams.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, CMDR).

• Monitor and report on quality metrics and KPIs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 4–8 years of experience in software QA, including both manual and automated testing.

• Proficiency in QA tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Experience with performance and security testing.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with SQL and scripting languages.

• Certifications like ISTQB, CSTE, or CSQA are a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with testing models, knowledge of Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA).

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
