Job Description

This position is required for the development and support of critical priority applications in the Division of Employment and Training. Candidates will be integral members of self-directed work teams supporting high-priority development projects. Project work will include application design and development, integration with third-party software, data conversion, new development, and modifications to existing code. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in designing, creating, and maintaining web services, system integration, web development, and Agile Scrum development methodology.

Requirements

Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:

  1. Web and client-server application development experience, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, implementation, and support (6 years).
  2. Previous work experience in government, insurance, accounting, or case management (3 years).
  3. Previous work experience in online transaction processing (OLTP) web application development and batch processing (3 years).
  4. ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, Object Oriented Design (3-5 years).
  5. Visual Studio.NET, Jira, GitHub, MVC and MVVM design patterns (3-6 years).

Nice to Have Skills:

  1. Google Cloud experience preferred.
  2. Microsoft Azure Cloud experience preferred.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will be highly technically competent, a consistently high producer, a good communicator, and an overall team player. All candidates submitted with inconsistencies or falsifications in their credentials will be disqualified, and DOA purchasing will be notified.

DWD is currently allowing remote work from Wisconsin. The contractor will need to be available online, present to meet all workload requirements, and must attend all scheduled meetings during DWD standard working hours of 7:45 am โ€“ 4:30 pm Central Time. DWD can make changes or modifications to this arrangement with reasonable advance notice.
