Job Description

This is a remote position for a Senior SCADA Developer. The role involves leading a team of 3-5 junior to mid-level developers, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting, and providing guidance. Experience in design and architecture for project-based work is a plus. The ideal candidate must possess skills in GeoSCADA, PI, and InTouch, and have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA systems for industrial automation processes.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

• Strong knowledge of SCADA systems and integration with different data sources.

• Experience with AVEVA (formerly Wonderware) software products, including System Platform, Operations Control, InTouch, and Predictive Analytics.

• Knowledgeable in computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardware.

• Proficient in programming languages such as JavaScript, Visual Basic, or C#.

• Familiarity with operational data historians (e.g., AVEVA, Wonderware, OSI PI, etc.).

• Experience configuring and troubleshooting industry-standard communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA/DA, DNP3, and TCP/IP.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites if needed; most work is currently remote, but engineers may need to travel up to 25% in the future for customer meetings or deployments.

• Proven experience with a focus on AVEVA/Wonderware System Platform and OSI PI.

Additional Information

The SCADA Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA systems that monitor and control various industrial processes. Collaboration with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders is crucial to understand system requirements and develop appropriate solutions. The role also includes developing custom scripts using scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, VBScript) to enhance system functionality and conducting system testing and commissioning to ensure accurate functioning of SCADA systems.

Participating in training to stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in SCADA technologies is important for this role.
