Job Description

This role involves hiring experienced wedding photographers and videographers on a contract basis throughout the year. Candidates must be able to cover full wedding days (6-10 hours) and occasionally assist with engagement and portrait sessions. Creatives are expected to produce clean imagery, communicate effectively with clients, and maintain a professional demeanor at events.

Requirements

Lead Photographer Requirements

  • Preferably (not required) Canon camera systems
  • Minimum gear expectation:
  • 2 camera bodies (2018 or newer)
  • At least three lenses covering 35mm, 50mm, and 70–200mm ranges
  • External flash
  • Strong indoor flash technique with clean bounce flash and controlled ambient lighting
  • Ability to cover a full wedding day independently
  • Willingness to upload RAW files and maintain backups for up to 45 days
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional client interaction
  • Portfolio demonstrating consistent, clean, timeless wedding work
  • Ability to photograph engagement sessions or bridal portraits

Lead Videographer Requirements

  • Canon or Sony camera systems
  • Minimum equipment expectations:
  • Two camera bodies
  • Wide and zoom lenses
  • Two audio sources/microphones for wedding-day audio capture
  • Gimbal or stabilization system
  • Lighting source
  • Drone capability is a plus but not required
  • Ability to film weddings independently while maintaining stable footage
  • Consistent exposure and white balance (no mixed lighting)
  • Reliable workflow for transferring footage and maintaining backups for 45 days
  • A polished reel demonstrating stable, well-lit storytelling

Professional Appearance

Team members are expected to dress in professional attire suitable for formal wedding environments, typically in black or neutral colors. Jeans, polos, shorts, and athletic footwear are not permitted.

Payment Terms

Compensation will be issued after all RAW files or video footage are delivered and verified by headquarters.

Onboarding & Certification

All shooters must complete approximately 6-7 hours of online onboarding, covering brand standards and shooting workflow. A short certification assessment must be completed before receiving the first assignment, ensuring consistent, high-quality experiences for couples.

Additional Information

Job Date: 6/20 (and future) only apply if you are equipped and available to shoot by 6/20 and future dates.

Position Type: Contract / Freelance

Compensation: $25–$75 per hour (varies based on experience level, role as lead or second shooter, equipment provided, and specific event requirements)

Typical Schedule: Based on booked wedding dates – most events take place on weekends

Event Duration: Most weddings range from 6–10 hours, with occasional portrait sessions around 1.5 hours depending on the client’s contract

Payment Timeline: Payments are issued the Friday following successful file delivery and confirmation by headquarters.
