Job Description

Seeking an experienced .NET Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of complex enterprise applications supporting statewide motor vehicle operations and related government systems. The consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing large-scale applications and integrations that support critical business functions and nationwide data exchange initiatives. This role requires collaboration with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

Candidate Location: Candidates must be a CURRENT SC or NC Resident. No Relocation Allowed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Microsoft .NET technologies.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical specifications, system documentation, and test plans.
  • Design and develop bi-directional REST/JSON APIs supporting nationwide integrations and clearinghouses.
  • Build and maintain interfaces with internal and external systems.
  • Perform application troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Support database development activities, including query optimization and data validation.
  • Participate in system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Follow SDLC best practices and established development standards.
  • Provide technical recommendations for system improvements, scalability, and performance optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of .NET Development experience.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting complex Motor Vehicle Systems and/or Court Systems within State Government environments.
  • 3+ years of experience developing requirements, specifications, and test plans for large-scale enterprise systems.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing bi-directional REST/JSON APIs.
  • Experience supporting nationwide data integrations and clearinghouse interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience with application design, development, testing, and implementation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Oracle Database.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience supporting large-scale government technology initiatives.
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration architectures and web services.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Interview Process

One Round of IN PERSON Interviews.

Location

Columbia, SC Hybrid (3 days onsite per week). Onsite needs may influx due to project needs at the manager’s discretion.
