Job Description

Grafana Labs is seeking a Director of Product Management to develop vision and strategy for a broad product domain. This role involves aligning multiple teams, ensuring product decisions support customer outcomes, and managing the roadmap while deeply understanding customers and the market. The Director will lead product strategy for Data Collection, Transformation, and Ingestion, focusing on how customers generate, collect, transform, and ingest telemetry data into Grafana Cloud. This includes guiding strategy for telemetry generation, collection, and querying, while ensuring the product aligns with Grafana Labs’ full-stack observability strategy and evolves in an AI-first world.

Requirements

What Makes You a Great Fit:

• Significant Product Management experience, including leading product strategy across multiple teams and complex technical workflows
• Experience managing Product Managers, including coaching and performance management
• Strong technical fluency in infrastructure, cloud platforms, observability, telemetry, and data pipelines
• Understanding of how AI can create significant customer value in products
• Strong customer empathy and strategic judgment
• Cross-functional leadership and communication skills
• A BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Bonus Points For:

• Experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana technologies
• Experience with ETL, telemetry pipelines, and large-scale data processing
• Prior experience with AI-enabled product experiences for technical users
• Experience at an open source company

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is $263,065 - $315,678, with actual compensation varying based on experience and skillset. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Grafana Labs emphasizes a remote and collaborative corporate culture.
