Job Description

This is a remote position.

A typical day of a Senior Python + AWS Developer at August Infotech includes:

• The day often starts with checking emails, messages, and project-related notifications, followed by planning and prioritizing tasks.
• Reviewing pending tasks, project roadmap, and goals for ongoing projects.
• Discussing new requirements, changes, or challenges with the project team and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Reviewing code from junior/intermediate developers for quality and best practices.
• Addressing bugs, issues, or technical debt that arises.
• Developing and customizing Python (Fast API + Django) websites and functionalities.
• Creating new API endpoints, optimizing database queries, and implementing new features.
• Communicating with clients to provide updates and discuss requirements.
• Performing thorough testing of new features or changes.
• Debugging and resolving issues during testing.
• Updating project management tools and estimating time required for upcoming tasks.
• Wrapping up ongoing tasks and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Reflecting on daily accomplishments, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Engaging in architectural design tasks and solving complex technical challenges.
• Optimizing code for application performance and scalability.
• Conducting performance profiling and analysis.
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior developers.
• Participating in testing activities to ensure quality standards before deployment.
