Job Description

We are seeking a strong, experienced Frontend Developer to join a complex, high-impact project for a leading global pharmaceutical client. In this role, you will be responsible for building robust, scalable, and highly responsive user interfaces. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional digital solutions within a regulated and dynamic environment.

This is a freelance engagement based out of Prague, with the flexibility to work fully remote from anywhere within the European Union.

Requirements

Primary Skills (Must-Have):

• Deep expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and JSON.
• Strong experience with React JS and state management via Redux and React Hooks.
• Proficiency with AJAX and jQuery for legacy or integrated components.

Secondary Skills (Good-to-Have):

• Experience with Next.js for server-side rendering and static site generation.
• Familiarity with styling tools/frameworks: Tailwind CSS, SASS, Material UI, and Twitter Bootstrap.
• Basic understanding or experience with Node.js and version control using GitHub.
• Knowledge of mobile development using React Native is a plus.

Tools & Methodologies:

• Development Tools: VS Code, Notepad++, Edit Plus, Adobe Dreamweaver.
• Design & Layout Tools: Adobe Photoshop CS5, Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.
• Cloud & DevOps: Experience with Azure CI/CD Pipeline deployment workflows.
• Methodologies: Practical experience working in Agile sprint cycles as well as UML Waterfall project structures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain complex web applications using React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Translate wireframes and design mock-ups into high-quality, reusable frontend code.
• Manage application state efficiently using Redux and leverage modern React concepts like Hooks.
• Collaborate with backend engineers and stakeholders to integrate RESTful APIs and handle asynchronous data (AJAX, JSON).
• Ensure UI/UX consistency across applications using utility-first and component frameworks (Tailwind, Material UI, Bootstrap).
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, utilising both Agile and UML Waterfall methodologies depending on project needs.
• Support automated deployment workflows via Azure CI/CD pipelines.
