Job Description

I’m looking for a creative and dependable Content Creator & Video Editor to help me repurpose content for my personal brand and businesses. This is an independent contractor position and is ideal for a college student, aspiring content creator, stay-at-home parent, freelancer, or someone looking to build their portfolio and gain real-world experience. Most content ideas and video footage will already be provided. Your role will be helping turn raw content into finished content that is ready for social media.

Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Threads
• Add captions, text overlays, transitions, music, and basic effects
• Create Canva graphics, quote posts, and carousel posts
• Repurpose existing content into multiple formats
• Follow content examples and creative direction provided
• Communicate regarding revisions and project deadlines
• Participate in occasional Zoom meetings and video calls to review content strategy, expectations, and feedback

Requirements

• Experience with CapCut
• Experience with Canva
• Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, and YouTube Shorts
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently
• Access to a laptop or computer for editing and file management
• iPhone preferred for compatibility with content sharing and FaceTime communication
• Comfortable communicating through text, FaceTime, Zoom, and email as needed

Compensation

Project-based compensation. Most projects will consist of individual videos or small batches of content. Initial projects will be paid test projects to determine fit before discussing ongoing work. Pay ranges from $5.00 to $15.00 per hour.
