Job Description

Videographers are sought to film laboratory techniques and scientific experiments at research institutions in San Antonio, TX and surrounding areas. This opportunity allows videographers to add unique footage of cutting-edge science to their reel and become familiar with recording microscopic images. It also offers a chance to develop a long-term business relationship with a company in the biotechnology and digital media industry.

The videographer will be required on an on-demand, semi-consistent basis for shoots that last one day, typically between 6-7 hours. Each shoot only requires one camera operator; no editing is involved—only filming and footage upload.

Requirements

The candidate must possess or have access to the following equipment:

• Professional HD camera
• Wireless Lavalier microphone or directional microphone
• 3-way fluid or gearhead tripod

Lighting kits and macro lenses are optional. Additionally, applicants must:

• Live within or near San Antonio, TX and be able to travel within 200 miles
• Be fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Have received the Covid-19 vaccine, as many research institutions require visitor vaccination

Compensation and Work Location

The compensation for this role is $350 USD per day and $0.50 per mile traveled. The work location is in person.
