Job Description

Acme Tools is hiring a Junior Web Developer to join our e-commerce team and work directly on acmetools.com, which received roughly 30 million visits last year, with two-thirds on mobile. The position involves spending most of the time in our Salesforce Commerce Cloud codebase, working across both frontend and backend. In addition, collaboration with the web design team on landing pages and campaigns is expected, merging code skills with visual instincts. The candidate will be paired with experienced developers for mentorship and code reviews, fostering growth.

Requirements

Need-To-Haves:

• Experience in both backend and frontend development; the role requires comfort moving between server-side logic and visible styling.
• Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to reason about web pages beyond styling.
• Foundational backend skills in JavaScript; knowledge of Node.js or server-side JS is essential.
• A keen eye for detail, with an emphasis on pixel-perfect design.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools, paired with discipline to verify and understand their output.
• Awareness or interest in web performance, accessibility, and SEO basics.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts and take visual direction from design teams.
• A genuine interest in e-commerce systems.

Love-To-Haves:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience through bootcamps, portfolios, or contributions.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; experience through academic projects, internships, or freelance work is desirable.
• SFCC experience is not required.
