Job Description
JC Lives Official is a faith-based media brand dedicated to sharing real-life stories, helping those in need, spreading the Gospel, and inspiring people through authentic content. We also operate Second Chance Landscaping, focused on creating opportunities and helping people rebuild their lives through hard work and faith.
We are looking for a motivated and creative Part-Time Content Creator & Video Editor who is passionate about storytelling, social media growth, and creating engaging content. This role will be a combination of video editing, social media management, content creation assistance, and strategy and growth support. Approximately 50% of the time will be spent meeting, filming, brainstorming ideas, and helping create content, while the other 50% will involve editing and posting content.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos in CapCut for:
- YouTube Shorts
- TikTok
- Instagram Reels
- Facebook Reels
- Add captions, music, transitions, zooms, and graphics
- Create engaging hooks that improve watch time
- Help brainstorm viral content ideas
- Assist with filming content when needed
- Create thumbnails and cover images
- Schedule and publish content across platforms
- Monitor analytics and suggest improvements
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple short clips
- Stay up to date with social media trends
Requirements
- Experience using CapCut
- Understanding of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook algorithms
- Ability to create attention-grabbing edits
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated and organized
- Comfortable working with faith-based and community-focused content
Preferred Skills
- Graphic design experience
- Photography/videography experience
- YouTube growth knowledge
- Experience growing social media accounts
- Understanding of storytelling and audience retention
Additional Information
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
