Native English US Speaker Learner of Spanish (Beginner) Required
We are seeking your support for an upcoming Speech Data Collection Project and would like to check your availability and interest in collaborating with us on the following tasks. The goal is to collect read-speech recordings (words and sentences) from non-native language learners. You will record yourself pronouncing a list of words and/or sentences, which is called a set, and you will work on 4 sets in total. These recordings will help improve pronunciation evaluation and speech technology. The language requirement is Native English (US) speakers who are beginners learning Spanish (Latin American). The project volume is about 5.5 hours, starting next week, and uses a simple web-based tool that works in Chrome. Clear instructions will be provided. We will request a quick 2-minute test sample to validate your Spanish level. Please confirm if you are a US native and currently learning Spanish.
