VFX Artist — Layered Clip Licensing (AI Research Project)

We’re looking for experienced VFX artists to license existing photorealistic footage for an AI research project. This is a paid licensing opportunity, not a commission - we want to work with artists who already have relevant clips they own outright.

What we’re looking for

Photorealistic CG or composited VFX footage. Think simulations, environmental effects, destruction, particles, fluid dynamics — real-world scenes, not stylised or animated content. If you’ve built it in Houdini, Blender, Maya, DaVinci Resolve or similar and you own the IP, we want to hear from you.

The work involved

As well as licensing the clip, we ask artists to re-render and package the footage as separate layers (e.g. smoke, shadows, reflections as individual files). This technical delivery is factored into the rate.

Clips must be:

• 720p minimum, 8 seconds minimum
• No colour grading
• 3–8 layers, logically grouped
• Delivered with the composite and individual layer files

Rate

$400 per clip - fixed rate covering both the licence and delivery packaging. Multiple clips welcome, subject to approval.

Payment

Hired and paid through the Twine platform. 50% deposit on hire, 50% released from Vault on accepted delivery.

Timeline

14 days from agreement to delivery.
