Job Description

Marriott Theatre presents musicals using live orchestras. Each orchestra pit can consist of 8 to 12 members, all of whom must be members of the Musicians’ Union. The orchestra pit for TYA (Theater for Young Audiences) typically has three musicians. Each production is orchestrated for different types of instruments, and the contractor hires each musician based on the orchestration requirements. Some musicians may play more than one instrument during a specific performance. The role also involves executing other reasonable work obligations as requested by supervisors.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent certificate from a General Educational Development (GED) program.

Related Work Experience: Experience in public shows and entertainment.

Supervisor Experience: No supervisory experience is required.

Licensure or Certification: None.

Additional Information

Seasonal Dates: November 2, 2026 - January 3, 2027. Virtual and in-person auditions held in early August. Select applicants must attend an in-person callback on August 29th.
