Job Description

Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team who has experience with back end development. This role requires a strong focus on developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems and working individually or as part of a team.

Salary Range: The projected compensation range for this position is 235K-242K (annualized USD), based on various factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements.

Requirements

• Back-end development experience creating big data applications using Python and/or Java.
• Experience working with tiered architectural systems with an emphasis on front-end development.
• Comfortable working in a Linux/Ubuntu environment.
• Experience working in AWS, especially around big data architecture, is a plus.
• Front-end development experience, particularly with JavaScript libraries such as Vue.js, PrimeVue, or any equivalent.

• Confer with system and hardware engineers to derive software requirements.
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning.
• Recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects.
• Serve as the technical lead of multiple software development teams.
• Ensure quality control of developed and modified software.
• Delegate programming and testing responsibilities and monitor performance.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
