Job Description

Perform specialized programming and technical work for website and internet development in a collaborative environment using industry standard technologies and procedures. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Job Duties

• Collaborate with the Business Analyst to present information to the Project Review Board and/or Project Sponsors during project review meetings, providing clarification and answers to questions.
• Create, update, and maintain systems and IT programs documentation, including system and functional specifications.
• Draft technical models that capture requirements of data elements and design them to meet application needs.
• Design and develop software code based on reusability, approved architecture/design, and compliance with security and State of Michigan standards.
• Mitigate application-level security risks and remediate vulnerabilities as soon as identified.
• Participate in structured walk-throughs, code reviews, and stage exits.
• Strictly follow configuration management procedures.
• Adhere to change management procedures and provide input for executing change management.
• Support project documentation requirements for Agile and traditional methodologies as applicable.
• Conduct application unit, string, and integrated testing to ensure compliance with business and technical requirements.
• Develop system/module level test scripts, test plans, and test cases for testing activities.
• Document identified problems, analyze root causes, and provide analysis reports.
• Develop user manuals and conduct training as necessary.
• Evaluate requests for modifications and enhancements for impact on existing projects and applications.
• Plan and accomplish goals independently, performing a variety of complicated tasks with creativity and latitude.
• Familiarity with PowerApps.
• Manage a small portfolio of contracts, including transitioning agreements into formal contracts.
• Work within a .NET and Angular application environment, with exposure to multiple batch job processes.
• Collaborate within a team of approximately 10 members.
• Directly interact with client stakeholders, emphasizing strong communication and ownership.
• Expectation for a self-sufficient resource who can operate with minimal oversight and drive tasks independently.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Angular Development.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with .NET technologies.
• Experience with Cloud AWS Migration.
• Strong experience working within process-oriented Agile methodologies.
• Proven experience with Test-Driven Development.
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in advanced principles, theories, techniques, and methods in the development and design of web applications and standalone applications.
• Ability to work as a team and individually on projects using Agile and/or traditional project management methodologies.
• Experience participating in project review meetings and project work groups.

Desired Skills

• Experience with Playwright for integration testing.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor’s Degree.

Location

• Candidates are not required to be local to Lansing as long as they can follow the hybrid schedule from the beginning (non-negotiable).
• Position is a hybrid schedule with no remote-only option; in-office presence for 2 days per week is required, specific days not yet defined.
• Working hours are Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available at this time.
• Must undergo a background check and drug screening for employment.

Employment Terms

• This is a W2 position.
• 40 hours per week.
• HYBRID schedule with no remote-only option; in-office presence required from the beginning.
