Job Description

At VSA Partners, we support clients dedicated to building, designing, and collaborating on challenges that push boundaries. We are looking for a talented and passionate Director, UX Design to join our team. This role involves a deep understanding of UX principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. As a UX Director, you will define design strategies and create cohesive, end-to-end, human-centered experiences for our client’s global dot-com presence.

Role and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for project engagements including deliverables such as concepts, wireframes, interactive prototypes, specifications, engagement agreements, and timelines. Specific responsibilities include:

• Crafting user experiences alongside key product stakeholders to advocate for user-centered design best practices and manage design resources.
• Designing wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts, interactions, and user flows.
• Developing visually appealing and brand-consistent designs, including layouts, typography, and graphics.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including developers, project managers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration of design solutions.
• Implementing enterprise-level design systems similar to the Carbon Design System in all solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Proven experience as a UX Director or senior-level UX practitioner with a strong portfolio.
• 8+ years leading UI and UX design for enterprise-scale digital platforms.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, primarily Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of usability principles, information architecture, and human-centered design.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills.
• Experience working with design systems.
• Understanding of strict brand guidelines and UX best practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge and use of design pattern trends and best practices.
• Innovative and collaborative mindset, adaptable to fast-paced, ever-evolving creative environments.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience working with design systems such as Carbon Design System.
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Target.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Digital Experience, Interaction Design, or a related field preferred.
