Job Description

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate, Software Engineer in Alpharetta, GA to collaborate with business and product partners to understand business problems. The role involves analyzing business data to formulate appropriate data models, participating in data system architecture and design discussions, and developing software solutions in a lean-agile methodology. Responsibilities also include creating technical documentation, developing code to manage high volumes of data, and deriving solutions for data integration engineers using various ETL tools. Telecommuting is permitted up to 2 days a week.

Requirements

• Requires a Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Requires three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Software Developer, Software Application Developer, or a related occupation.
• Requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills:
• Formulating data models;
• Java;
• ETL tools including:
• Informatica;
• Datastage;
• Python;
• Spark.
• RDBMS systems including:
• Oracle;
• MS-SQL;
• Teradata.
• Handling Big Data in systems including:
• Hadoop;
• HDFS;
• Hive.
• Agile methodologies;
• Shell scripts;
• Python scripts;
• PySpark scripts;
• ETL tools including:
• Python;
• Database SQL.

The expected base pay rates for the role will be between $161,000 and $161,000 per year. However, the base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other benefit programs.
