Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Drupal Developer to architect, build, and maintain a robust web application ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for developing custom templates for sub-websites, implementing tailored user access controls, and integrating Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) to support seamless student access. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in custom module development, authentication workflows, and page-level tracking mechanisms to ensure a secure and highly optimized user experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architecture & Site Building

• Design and deploy individual web application instances and manage content architecture.
• Develop and configure approximately 6–7 custom templates and corresponding sub-websites, ensuring they are optimized for content entry by internal teams.
• Configure complex user roles and access permissions, ensuring strict content restriction for specific roles (e.g., Teachers vs. General/Anonymous users).

2. Integration & Custom Development

• Implement and configure the Drupal LTI module to facilitate seamless authentication and access for students launching from external Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Ensure student privacy and system efficiency by managing LTI traffic as anonymous, non-stored user sessions.
• Build custom Drupal modules or extend existing ones to support page-level content tracking for authenticated users.

3. Analytics & Reporting

• Evaluate, recommend, and implement Drupal-native modules or external solutions (such as Google Analytics) to track visitor numbers and page access behaviors.
• Provide technical recommendations for scalable reporting dashboards, keeping future scope expansions in mind.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Drupal Expertise: Strong proficiency in Drupal 9/10/11 core API, site-building, and configuration management.
• Custom Development: Proven experience writing secure, clean PHP custom modules and using Drupal’s Hook/Event system.
• Theming & Templates: Proficiency in Twig, HTML5, CSS3/SASS, and JavaScript to build reusable, responsive templates.
• Tracking & Analytics: Experience implementing page-level tracking, user activity logging, and integrating Google Analytics or custom reporting modules.

Experience & Competencies

• Experience: 4+ years in relevant field.
