Job Description

Golden Chase Studios is seeking a part-time Social Media Videographer & Editor to assist in filming, editing, and preparing content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, with an emphasis on enhancing TikTok performance and account health. This role supports a creator-led media brand covering personal creator accounts and child model/talent accounts. The primary platforms involved include TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram, particularly focusing on TikTok for monetization. The ideal candidate will take raw footage and convert it into polished, social media-ready videos while improving content quality and performance across platforms. Initial in-person work in Orange County, CA is expected, and subsequent editing work can be done remotely.

Requirements

• Experience: 2 years of video editing required.
• Skills:
• Filming and editing short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
• Understanding of TikTok performance metrics, account health, and analytics.
• Proficient in video editing software like CapCut, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
• Ability to operate iPhone and/or camera equipment for high-quality content.
• Basic knowledge of lighting, audio, camera angles, and content setup.
• Skills in creating natural, engaging, and platform-native content.
• Experience with creator accounts and child model/actor content is a plus.
• Strong judgement and professionalism, especially regarding content involving minors.
• Reliable communication, organization, and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to engage in occasional in-person filming sessions in Orange County, CA.
• Language: Proficiency in English is required.
• Work Location: Hybrid remote position based in Aliso Viejo, CA 92656.

Duties

• Film short-form social media content.
• Edit raw footage into polished videos for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
• Create engaging pacing, captions, hooks, and structure to enhance viewer retention.
• Improve filming quality through setup optimizations in lighting and audio.
• In-person filming setup assistance in Orange County, CA.
• Repurpose content for various platforms.
• Analyze TikTok analytics and provide insights on video performance.
• Advise on content structure and posting strategies.
• Ensure safe, parent-approved content for child accounts.
• Organize raw and edited content efficiently.
• Stay updated on trends and best practices in short-form video content.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour.
