Job Description

Dhaka Technologies Limited is hiring for a client seeking a database developer to support a team that creates and maintains a telecommunication focused, web-based Operational Support System (OSS) application. The database developer will be an integral part of an Agile/Scrum team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the database for an internal web application. This role will develop and maintain an Oracle database that supports the OSS, which currently utilizes spatial data and integrates with GIS software. The candidate should reside in the Washington, DC-MD-VA region, and will work remotely one day a week and onsite four days a week. The role involves migrating data from Oracle 11g to Oracle 19c and creating sophisticated data models using SQL and other visualization methods.

Requirements

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.

• Oracle Database Developer Experience: Required, 3 Years
• Database Administration Experience: Required, 2 Years
• Experience with Spatial Queries and Geometry Objects: Required, 2 Years
• Data Model Visualization (especially ERDs): Required, 1 Year
• Interest in using and/or learning GIS tools: Required, 1 Year
• Experience with Esri products: Required, 1 Year
• Version control systems (Example: Git): Required, 1 Year
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience: Required
• Experience with planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities: Required, 2 Years
• Experience with leading projects, ensuring they are following established standards/procedures: Highly desired, 2 Years
• Must be able to qualify for a journeyman level position: Required, 6 Years
