Job Description

Deeplocal is looking for an Executive Producer who is passionate about creative excellence to deliver complex, highly technical experiential projects for some of the most loved brands in the world. This is a temporary position with the potential for future permanent opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a critical part of the creative process, empowering a multidisciplinary team to produce brilliant work while contributing to and driving creative concepts and production execution decisions. Candidates should be effective leaders and smart problem-solvers who can navigate complex challenges and identify hidden risks early in the project lifecycle.

Ideal applicants will come into the position with their own freelance and vendor relationships and will be responsible for finding and contracting outstanding partners quickly. This position is based in Pittsburgh, but we are open to remote candidates. Travel is required, as needed.

Requirements

The Executive Producer is held accountable for the following responsibilities:

Client Communication

• Run production meetings and involve appropriate leads as needed.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication regarding budgets, scopes of work, timelines, roles, responsibilities, and project status.

Production: High-Level

• Work with Technical and Creative Leads to define project deliverables and manage the creative and production process.
• Partner with the Director of Technical Strategy to develop robust budgets that track project health.
• Develop production schedules and resource plans that prioritize creative excellence and fiscal health.
• Maintain awareness of creative, design, technical, and logistical challenges, communicating project status and needs to all parties involved.
• Run team meetings, facilitate team communication, resolve disputes, and escalate issues as necessary.

Production: Details

• Write and present scopes of work, incremental project proposals, and change orders.
• Source necessary materials for productions.
• Track team member hours and project costs, report monthly to Finance and Director of Production, manage external costs and revenue recognition.
• Source and manage vendors and freelancers, ensuring contracts are in place and following proper negotiation procedures.
• Support team morale and growth, providing leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience producing interactive experiences or spaces within a creative industry.
• Experience with tech-based live events is preferred.
• Creative thinker & problem-solver with confidence in leading meetings.
• Ability to translate ambiguity into actionable project plans.
• Experience in event production, budget management, and logistics.
• Highly organized with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Able to work under tight deadlines while maintaining composure.
