Retro Animator Wanted — 2 Animated Commercials, Same Old-School Style (Ongoing Potential)

We are looking for a 2D animator who can create two 30-second animated commercials in a classic vintage cartoon style, referencing Hanna-Barbera, UPA, and early Jay Ward eras. The first project, Tuck & Howell, involves designing original characters based on existing radio voices and delivering a finished animated spot following a retro, limited-animation style with a warm, nostalgic color palette. If the pilot goes well, the second project, Amazing Morrow, will follow, featuring both an existing mascot and a new character built in a similar visual vein. We are not seeking modern motion graphics, 3D animation, or a polished explainer look but instead want a genuine old-school feel. You should be able to work independently or as a small studio, handle expressive limited animation, and provide character design/model sheets. Candidates who can showcase relevant retro/limited-style 2D animation work and are available for both projects are preferred. All work can be fully remote, and project deliverables must meet client brand requirements and style expectations.

$2400-$4000 USD

Examples:
Classic Hanna-Barbera / UPA / early Jay Ward era — think Bert & Harry Piel beer commercials and the wide-eyed character work from Rocky & Bullwinkle / Sherman & Peabody. Limited animation (economical movement, not full frame-by-frame), simple expressive character design, flat color, warm nostalgic palette.

Not looking for modern motion graphics, 3D, or explainer-video polish — the vintage look is the whole point.
