Job Description

This is a remote position for a Senior Shopify E-commerce Developer. The role can be part-time (3PM to 7PM PHT) or full-time (3PM to 12AM PHT), with a salary range of PHP 130,000 – PHP 170,000 for full-time. UK holidays will be observed.

The successful candidate will work closely with the E-commerce & Marketing Manager and CEO, playing a crucial role in developing, optimizing, and continuously improving the company’s Shopify store. This is a long-term opportunity for an individual eager to take ownership, challenge assumptions, and contribute innovative solutions to create an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize the Shopify store using industry best practices.

• Build custom features, landing pages, and reusable sections.

• Continuously enhance the customer journey from homepage to checkout.

• Optimize website speed, performance, and Core Web Vitals.

• Implement APIs, webhooks, Google Tag Manager, and GA4 tracking.

• Improve merchandising, upsells, cross-sells, and conversion opportunities.

• Proactively identify UX and CRO improvements based on Shopify e-commerce experience.

• Explore AI tools, AI agents, and automation to improve efficiency.

• Document technical work and maintain organized development processes.

Approximately 70% of your time will focus on Shopify development, with the remainder dedicated to optimization, CRO, and technical improvements.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:
• Extensive experience developing and optimizing Shopify e-commerce stores (5+ years).

• Strong understanding of Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience with Shopify Online Store 2.0, Shopify Functions, Metafields, and Metaobjects.

• Familiarity with Shopify APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrations.

• Strong understanding of UX, CRO, and Shopify e-commerce best practices.

• Experience with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4.

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

• A commercial mindset understanding why features are built, not just how.

• Experience creating fast, intuitive, responsive websites optimized for both desktop and mobile.

Desired Qualifications:
• Shopify Plus experience.

• Familiarity with AI tools, AI agents, and workflow automation.

• Technical SEO knowledge.

• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation.

• Experience with premium or luxury e-commerce brands and improving conversion rate, average order value, and customer lifetime value.
