Job Description

Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Database Engineer with over 10 years of experience to provide technical expertise in database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis. Responsibilities include developing relational and/or Object-Oriented databases and associated parser software, projecting long-range database administration and design needs, and ensuring that the database structure aligns with overall system architecture. The role involves working throughout the project lifecycle from requirements definition to system acceptance and recommendations for improvements and optimizations. The DBE must manage complex systems using queries, tables, Open Database Connectivity, and employ cloud methodologies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in database engineering.
• Extensive experience with installation and patching of the following technologies:
• Oracle Database
• Oracle Enterprise Manager
• Oracle Data Guard
• Linux OS
• Linux Commands
• Bash Scripting
• Information Assurance: Must comply with DoD 8570.01-M at Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II.

Desired Skills

• Experience with MongoDB.

Salary Range

The projected compensation range for this position is $208K-214K (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements.

• Support database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow, and analysis.
• Analyze and evaluate system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts.
• Assist in developing databases, database parser software, and database loading software.
• Develop long and short term requirements for database administration and design.
• Lead development efforts and ensure database structures fit within the overall system architecture.
• Direct the overall development of complex systems using relevant methodologies.
