Job Description

We are hiring experienced part-time photographers to shoot outdoor school portraits in and around Charlotte. At St. John Photography, we focus on capturing natural, emotive, and artful images of children through our signature Playground Candids. This role offers flexibility with weekday morning hours, allowing for afternoons and weekends to be free for other commitments. Great pay and creative freedom are core aspects of this position.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience photographing kids, families, high-school seniors, or weddings.
• A natural affinity with children - fun, engaging, and a bit goofy in a positive way.
• Proficiency in shooting in manual mode (not just auto).
• Ownership of professional gear, including:
• DSLR or mirrorless camera (Canon, Nikon, Sony) with at least 25MP.
• Zoom lens up to 200mm or longer.
• Speedlight flash (shoe-mounted).
• Availability for 3–5 weekday mornings (Monday–Friday).
• Must provide a link to a portfolio featuring kids and/or family photography.
• Genuine love for photography that is evident in your work.

Other Information

Job Type: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday (approx 8:00 AM–1:00 PM, with occasional later days)

Location: In-person, outdoor shoots in and around Charlotte, NC
