Job Description

As a Production/Motion Designer within the CNN Design group, your primary focus will be to create innovative, effective and arresting design in all aspects of television and studio production for CNN programs, specials, and documentaries. At this level, you are a strong designer and budding motion designer with solid professional experience, passionate about upholding CNN’s standards and comfortable designing for television across all aspects of the design and production process.

• This fixed term position is NYC based and hybrid.
• All shift assignments are based on business need and are subject to change.

Requirements

• A degree in motion design, animation, graphic design, or relevant experience.
• At least 2+ years professional experience producing high-end creative work for television.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Proficient knowledge of Maxon Cinema 4D + Redshift (or other accelerated renderers) for motion design is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of Plugins such as RedGiant, Boris FX, Sapphire, AE Expression, C4D Expresso, X-Particles, etc.
• Well-rounded and strong conceptual designer who is also proficient with motion design, typography, color theory, illustration, photography, and layout.
• Design experience working with fast-changing deliverables and delivery times, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexible schedule required.
• Good understanding of compositing techniques.
• Strong design/production portfolio required.
• A Reel is required. Please be prepared to showcase 2-3 case studies and highlight specific contributions for each.

Actual salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $113,750.00 - $211,250.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
