Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Freelance eCommerce CRO & UX/UI Designer to drive measurable improvements across the RestaurantSupply.com eCommerce experience. The primary objective of this position is to increase conversion rate and revenue through data-driven UX/UI improvements, experimentation, and continuous optimization. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of improving the commercial performance of high-traffic eCommerce websites.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer behavior, website analytics, session recordings, and performance data to identify conversion barriers and revenue opportunities.
- Develop UX hypotheses and recommend improvements designed to increase conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, and other key eCommerce KPIs.
- Design high-quality, conversion-focused user experiences and interfaces in Figma.
- Optimize critical eCommerce experiences including navigation, search, category and product pages, cart, checkout, and product discovery.
- Partner closely with developers and A/B testing teams to convert UX hypotheses into experiments.
- Design variations for A/B and multivariate testing and iterate based on results.
- Use tools such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Hotjar to support design decisions.
- Evaluate experiment results and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Maintain a professional, polished, and trustworthy website experience.
- Work independently to identify and prioritize high-impact opportunities.
- Stay current on eCommerce UX and conversion optimization best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional UX/UI or Product Design experience, particularly with high-traffic eCommerce websites.
- Documented success in designing UX/UI improvements resulting in increased conversion rate and revenue.
- A strong portfolio showcasing eCommerce work, design contributions, experimentation approach, and outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency with Figma or similar design tools.
- Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO), A/B testing, and usability optimization.
- Familiarity with behavioral and analytics tools like Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Hotjar.
- Understanding of eCommerce customer journeys and conversion funnels.
- Ability to translate data and customer behavior into clear UX recommendations.
- Experience collaborating with developers for implementation of designs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and documentation.
- Self-directed with the ability to proactively identify opportunities and ownership of results.
Required Skills
- Experience optimizing large-scale eCommerce platforms.
- Experience with B2B eCommerce or complex product catalogs.
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify.
- Track record of delivering incremental revenue or conversion growth through UX/CRO initiatives.
- Experience working in rapid experimentation environments.
Pay Range and Compensation Package
This is an independent freelance/contract engagement and does not include employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, or paid time off.
