I am developing a meaningful children’s story series about foster family experiences and need a children’s illustrator to help bring the characters and emotional journeys to life. The main characters include foster siblings HupHup, Roar, Zippy, and Bumblebee, along with foster parents and caseworkers. The illustrations should accurately portray toddlers and preschool-aged children, use expressive visual storytelling and emotional body language, and reflect culturally respectful Hispanic characters and foster care themes with sensitivity. Character consistency will be important throughout the production schedule, with visual details, color palettes, and symbols based on the provided character style guide.

The ideal freelancer has professional children’s publishing experience, a distinctive visual voice, and an ability to respond positively to feedback while maintaining artistic energy. They should be interested in helping build a meaningful, lasting series. Please provide original, human-created samples rather than AI-generated, stock, or primarily text-to-image work. The project is fully remote and may lead to follow-up work.
