Job Description

Co-Star is seeking a talented visual designer to shape how the brand is represented outside of the app. The candidate should possess a fresh, opinionated design foundation to create distinctive work that is forward-thinking. The role involves close collaboration with leadership on campaigns and visual storytelling across various channels. This is a freelance position with potential for a long-term partnership as the team expands.

Requirements

• Approximately 5–8 years of experience as a senior individual contributor, with a portfolio showcasing expressive and culturally fluent graphic design (editorial, campaigns, identities in print and digital).
• Strong proficiency in typography and composition.
• Experience in shaping campaigns as well as producing assets for them.
• Active engagement with visual culture across art, fashion, publishing, music, and the internet.
• Able to work effectively in a remote and independent setting.

Nice to Have

• Experience in editorial/publication (print or digital magazines).
• Skills in motion design or illustration.
• Familiarity with generative tools for creating content.

Logistics

• This is a freelance/contract position, part-time initially, with potential for growth.
• Fully remote work is supported, with no travel required (though visits to NYC are welcomed).
