Kinship Earth Documentary Short Film SeriesUrgent

Documentary Filmmaker is needed in Veracruz, Mexico.

Kinship Earth is seeking an independent filmmaker or small team of up to two people to create a series of 5 to 8 short documentary films, each approximately 3 to 8 minutes long. The films will follow real people and grassroots projects across different bioregions, including water stewards, land defenders, and community organizers, with each film ending with a clear way for viewers to get involved. The project requires one consistent creative voice across the series and may include filming in Mexico, Jamaica, Colombia, and other locations, as well as editing footage provided by local organizers and flow funders.

We’re looking for that same intimate, character-driven, place-based storytelling style, just applied across multiple bioregions and short episodes instead of one longer film.

About the client
Kinship Earth is a global network supporting bioregional regeneration through storytelling and flow funding.
