Job Description

This is a 100% remote position.

The role involves designing and maintaining various databases, including stored procedures, indexing, and data models. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing ETL pipelines and workflows using SSIS, Python, PySpark, and SQL Server. Additionally, you will execute large-scale data migrations, ensuring cleansing, validation, and transformation across enterprise systems.

Your responsibilities will also include developing and optimizing SQL scripts and stored procedures to support data conversion, validation, and ongoing processing needs. You will build data ingestion and transformation workflows across raw, staging, curated, and analytics layers, as well as report building and maintenance using SSRS and PowerBI.

The role requires designing and implementing logical and physical data models (ERDs) for various applications, developing stored procedures, views, SQL scripts, and other database components supporting transactional and reporting systems. You will provide production support, troubleshoot performance issues, and offer on-call support when needed.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile ceremonies, development activities, code reviews, and release cycles, along with providing knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in database development or data engineering.
• Expertise in SQL Server, T-SQL and performance tuning.
• Experience with ETL tools (SSIS), Python, or PySpark.
• Strong background in data modeling and data integration.
• Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, PowerBI).
• Working knowledge of DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Jenkins.
• Experience supporting critical applications in financial, government, or legal industries.
