Job Description

Exoscale is the leading Swiss/European cloud service provider, offering a full range of cloud infrastructure services. The company is looking for a Software Engineer to join its core compute team, focusing on the design and implementation of additional capabilities for a rock-solid and fast infrastructure.

Location: Madrid, Munich or Remote in EU

As a Software Engineer, you will work on various challenges, including:

• Designing and maintaining the core compute platform
• Designing and maintaining orchestrators and distributed agents
• Ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical issues
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
• Participating in code and changes reviews
• Taking part in the on-call roll after a training period

Requirements

Ideal candidates should have:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure
• Prior experience with virtualization technology such as KVM
• A good understanding of the UNIX operating system
• Experience with building and operating distributed systems
• An eye for performance and monitoring
• Experience with one of Clojure or Go
