Job Description

Halogen Engineering Group is looking for a Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience and a current TS/SCI w/Poly clearance. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting GHOSTGEM’s software suite of applications, including DINO. Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, documenting, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems based on documented requirements. The role may involve processing intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of large data sets, and systems development and monitoring. The engineer will work individually or as part of a team, testing software components for adherence to design requirements and documenting test results.

Requirements

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Tools
• Experience developing scripts using Bash
• Recent Python (3.x) software development experience
• Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI
• Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Familiar with Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes
• Familiar with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ
• Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools such as Ansible
• Experience using Git Source Control System

Desired Skills

• Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer in similar programs and contracts.
• OR a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer in similar programs and contracts.
• OR seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer in similar programs and contracts.

Salary Range

The projected compensation range for this position is between $218,000 and $225,000 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and organizational requirements.
