Job Description

This is a remote position for a Senior Developer – AI-Enabled Systems at Best Access Doors, reporting to the Development Team Lead. The role involves architecting and delivering secure, scalable AI-enabled systems that enhance business operations, leading the design of intelligent automations, AI agents, and platform integrations while establishing engineering standards for production-ready AI solutions.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, including ownership of complex production systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Must-haves:

• Demonstrated expertise using AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
• Extensive experience designing and deploying production AI or LLM-powered applications.
• Expert understanding of prompt engineering, model limitations, evaluation methodologies, and AI guardrails.
• Strong software architecture, system design, data modeling, and integration experience.
• Advanced debugging, testing, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, webhooks, version control, and secure application development.
• Hands-on experience with Laravel, SQL/MySQL, and Eloquent ORM.
• Proven experience mentoring developers and collaborating with cross-functional business stakeholders.
