Job Description

ElCentro Milagro is the only Latino Arts, Culture & Heritage Center in Portland, OR. We are professional, agile, innovative and our mission is to provide extraordinary Latino theatre, culture and arts education experiences for the enrichment of all communities. The organization works in three distinct areas: Milagro MainStage, presenting fully mounted productions in the Milagro Theatre; Teatro Milagro, the bilingual arts education program; and Community Artes, engagement programming in our Zocalo Community space.

We are looking for a part-time social media marketing assistant to help maintain our Facebook and Instagram feeds with dynamic and engaging behind-the-scenes stories of what’s happening at Milagro, and out in the field with our education team. In addition to creating some weekly content, using Milagro’s style guides, the candidate will also be responsible for replying to comments in a friendly and professional manner to help guide people to the Milagro website. This position is only 5 hours a week to start, but could potentially grow after a trial period. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to build their portfolio as the social media representative for Portland’s oldest Latino Theatre!

Requirements

Skills required include:

• Ability to create dynamic and engaging content for social media
• Familiarity with Facebook and Instagram platforms
• Strong communication skills to reply to comments professionally
• Experience in social media marketing is a plus

This position starts at 5 hours per week but has potential for growth after a trial period.
