Sound Designer: SFX Design to Picture (Remote)

We are looking for experienced sound designers to create sound effects audio for short video clips, as part of an AI training dataset project.

The work

You will be supplied with short video clips (typically one to two minutes). Your job is to strip the original audio then design and build the soundscape from scratch so that it matches the action on screen, using commercially licensed sound libraries or your own recorded material. Sound effects, ambience and foley only, with no music or speech. The only sounds required are for those actions that visibility happens within the recording (no off-camera sounds were needed).
Each clip is delivered as a set of separate sound stems, one per source, along with simple timestamped notes of when each sound occurs. Full guidance and a worked example will be provided, so you will know exactly what is expected before you start.

Scope and opportunity

The initial phase is 10 finished hours of audio. If it goes well, there is potential for a significantly larger project to follow, so we are looking to build ongoing working relationships rather than fill a one-off job.

Rate

We are working to a maximum project price of $2,500 or less per finished hour of completed audio design. Please quote your price per finished hour (most competitive pricing will receive the majority of the work)

What we are looking for

• Proven sound design or foley experience, ideally working to picture
• Access to commercially licensed sound libraries, or your own recorded sounds
• Comfortable working to a defined delivery format
• Reliable, consistent output across a high volume of short clips
