Full 2D Animator
I am developing Milo & The Man, an original family-friendly animated series, starting with 1–2 minute episodes for YouTube and social platforms. I need a founding 2D animator and animation partner to help establish the visual world, production style, and reusable assets, including character rigs, expressions, backgrounds, and props. Scripts and professionally recorded dialogue will be provided.
This is a long-term remote opportunity with ongoing paid episode work, potential rate increases, milestone or performance bonuses, and the possibility of a longer-term partnership as the series grows. Experience with Toon Boom Harmony and rig-based 2D character animation is especially valuable. I am looking for a dependable, collaborative animator who is excited to help build an animated series from an early stage.

About the client
Founding 2D Animator / Animation Partner — Original Family Animated Series
We’re developing a new original family-friendly animated series, Milo & The Man, beginning with short-form 1–2 minute episodes for YouTube and social platforms.
This is more than an idea on paper. A current voice actor from an iconic internationally recognized animated television franchise is already attached to the project, along with experienced support on the PR/promotion and YouTube growth sides.
The missing piece is our animator.
We’re looking for a talented 2D animator who is interested in becoming part of the project from the ground floor and helping us develop the visual world and production style of the series.
Our plan is to build professional reusable character rigs, expressions, backgrounds, props and other production assets. Scripts and professionally recorded dialogue will be supplied, allowing us to establish an efficient workflow for producing episodes consistently.
We are independently funding the initial launch, so the upfront budget is intentionally lean. However, we aren’t looking for the cheapest one-off freelancer. We’re looking for the right person to grow with us.
For the right animator, our goal is to offer ongoing paid episode work initially, with the opportunity for increased rates, milestone/performance bonuses and potentially a more formal long-term partnership as the audience, revenue and opportunities around the series grow.
Experience with Toon Boom Harmony and rig-based 2D character animation would be particularly valuable.
We’re especially interested in someone who is creative, dependable, collaborative and excited by the possibility of helping build a new animated property rather than simply completing another freelance assignment.
Canadian animators are encouraged to apply, although we’re open to finding the right person anywhere.
Please send us your portfolio/reel, tell us what software you work in, your experience with rigged character animation, and — most importantly — why the idea of joining an animated series at its earliest stage interests you.
