Job Description

We are seeking a Talend Developer to join our team in Columbus, OH. This is a Contract position.

Requirements

Must-have skills:

• MicroStrategy
• Talend

Years of experience required for each skill: 4 years min

Nice-to-have skills:

• Snowflake
• ETL
• SQL
• Python
• PySpark
• Preferred to have the resource local
• Retail industry experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Strong experience in MicroStrategy application development
• Experience in Report and dashboard development (grids, graphs, scorecards)
• Creating MicroStrategy objects - metrics, filters, prompts, templates, consolidations, transformations, and custom groups
• Implementing application lifecycle management by copying and comparing application, schema, and configuration objects using MicroStrategy Object Manager
• Experience in SQL and query optimization
• Data modelling experience in designing the semantic layer, schema layer, and dimension modeling
• Star schema and snowflake schema design
• Advanced skills in the development of attributes, facts, dimensions, transformations, grids, and dashboards
• Dynamic dashboards and scorecards
• KPI visualizations and trend analysis
• MicroStrategy REST API usage
• Integration with data sources (databases, flat files, cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift)
• Python, Java, or R for extended data processing
• Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication for collaborating with business users
