Job Description

Job Title: Azure Cloud Architect

Location: New York, NY / Jersey City, NJ (Onsite)

Experience: 8+ years IT | 4+ years Azure Architecture

Type: Contractual (Contract-W2/1099, C2C - Own Corporation - No Third Party)

Role Overview: Lead the architecture, automation, and security of our enterprise Microsoft Azure environment. You will design resilient, scalable cloud systems aligned with the Azure Well-Architected Framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Governance: Design scalable Azure landing zones, subscription frameworks, and technical blueprints.
• Automation: Build IaC pipelines using Terraform or Bicep via Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions.
• Security & Networking: Implement Zero Trust (Entra ID, RBAC), hub-and-spoke VNets, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewalls.
• Optimization: Drive FinOps cost optimization, high availability, and multi-region disaster recovery (RTO/RPO).

Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years designing production Azure environments; strong IT background in networking/systems.
• Tooling: Advanced Terraform/Bicep, PowerShell/Bash, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Certification: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) preferred.
• Location: Must be based in the NY/NJ tri-state area.
