Job Description
This position is for a temporary contract of 1–2 months (extendable) at a small indie studio focused on developing 3D games using Unity or Unreal Engine 5. The initial project is a quick-turn title in Unity which will set the foundation for future projects. Success will contribute to building a passionate core team of creators.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop core gameplay systems, mechanics, and features using Unity C#.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that integrates with art and design teams.
- Collaborate with the lead developer and designer to ensure the technical feasibility of design concepts.
- Debug, optimize, and refactor code to meet performance targets.
- Iterate on code and gameplay based on team feedback.
- Contribute to the overall design and development process of the Game.
- AI Behaviour programming.
- UI Programming.
Required Experience:
- Proficiency in Unity (C#).
- Solid understanding of game loop architecture, physics, AI, UI, and animation integration.
- Prior game-development experience (professional or personal projects).
- Ability to deliver production-ready code.
- Passion for indie game development and a growth mindset.
Nice-to-Have:
- Knowledge of C++ or Blueprints in an Unreal Engine context.
- Basic knowledge of shader programming or visual effects.
- Experience with mobile or VR platforms.
- Experience with version control (Git, Perforce, etc.).
Availability:
- Able to contribute at least 5 hours a week on the project.
