Job Description

The role of a Senior Data Engineer involves collaborating with business stakeholders and product owners to define data product objectives, requirements, and success criteria. The engineer will design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architecture on Microsoft Azure for both cloud-native and hybrid environments. Key responsibilities include leading the development of data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines, managing data lakes, and supporting operational reporting and analytics through robust data models. The role also includes ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory standards, monitoring data pipelines, and utilizing AI tools to streamline workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and management, including Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
• Experience in integrating data from various source systems, including APIs, connectors, and custom scripts.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data cleansing, enrichment, and advanced analytics.
• Knowledge of data governance practices, including metadata management and lineage tracking.
• Familiarity with privacy and regulatory compliance standards such as FOIP and GDPR.
• Ability to design secure data services and APIs using Azure API Management.
• Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
• Proficiency in using AI and automation tools for enhancing data engineering workflows.
• Strong skills in designing and curating high-quality datasets for advanced analytics.
