Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to design, build, and support cloud environments for creating digital products. You will monitor application performance in a cloud environment, ensuring availability, and implement safeguards to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access.

Requirements

General Skills:

• Experience in one of the leading cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in maintaining complex Linux cloud environments (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, CoreOS) to support modern web technologies (LAMP, Drupal, Elasticsearch/Elasticloud).
• Experience setting up development environments using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Maven, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Experience in scripting languages like Python, Bash, PHP, Java, JavaScript, Node.js.
• Experience in build tools like Git, Ansible, Chef, Puppet for continuous integration.
• Knowledge of container-based virtualization technology such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Integration experience in building and using APIs.
• Experience applying industry web, architectural, and security standards and best practices.
• Experience in mobile device management for various versions of cellular and tablets.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements:

Must Haves:

• Design, provision, and manage AWS infrastructure (VPCs, subnets, security groups, IAM policies, EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, Route 53, CloudFront).
• Architect multi-account AWS environments following AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Manage AWS cost optimization strategies (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, rightsizing).
• Develop, maintain, and refactor Terraform modules and configurations for all cloud infrastructure.
• Author and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections for server configuration, application deployment, and compliance enforcement.
• Operate and administer Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS (ROSA) clusters.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Service) for infrastructure and application delivery.

Skill Set Requirements:

Cloud Infrastructure & AWS:

• Design, provision, and manage AWS infrastructure as specified above.
• Architect multi-account AWS environments following AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Manage AWS cost optimization strategies.
• Implement and maintain security and compliance services (CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, Security Hub, SCPs).

Infrastructure as Code — Terraform/Terraform Cloud:

• Develop, maintain, and refactor Terraform modules and configurations.
• Manage Terraform Cloud workspaces and variable sets.
• Enforce IaC standards and implement drift detection and remediation workflows.
• Lead Terraform code review processes.

Configuration Management — Ansible:

• Author and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles.
• Manage Ansible inventories in dynamic cloud environments.
• Integrate Ansible automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop secure handling of credentials using Ansible Vault.

Container Platform — OpenShift ROSA:

• Operate and administer ROSA clusters.
• Define and enforce security and network policies.
• Manage Operators, Helm charts, and workloads on ROSA.

CI/CD Pipelines:

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines as outlined.
• Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD.
• Integrate security scanning into pipeline gates.

Security & Compliance:

• Embed security controls throughout the infrastructure and CI/CD lifecycle.
• Implement secrets management solutions and enforce least-privilege access.
• Support vulnerability management processes.
• Participate in incident response and post-mortem processes.

Observability & Reliability:

• Build and maintain observability solutions using AWS CloudWatch.
• Define and track SLOs and SLIs for critical services and workloads.
• Lead on-call incident response and conduct root cause analyses.
